The vaccinations, targeting influenza and meningococcal disease, must be completed by May 31 to meet Saudi Arabia’s entry requirements, Thailand’s The Nation reported on Sunday.

Deputy government spokesperson Karom Polpornklang confirmed on Sunday that the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah mandates all pilgrims to receive these vaccines at least 10 days before entering the country.

This year’s Hajj rituals in Mecca are scheduled to occur from June 4 to 9.
